Built in 1550 to protect Holy Island harbour from attack. Restored and converted into a private house by Sir Edward Lutyens in 1903.

Directions: Take the A1; 6 miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed, signposted Holy Island, 5 miles.
Public Transport: Bus no 477 from Berwick-upon-Tweed and Beal.
Opening Times: Open 1 Apr-end Oct, daily, except Fri, 1300-1730; please check opening hours coincide with tide times.
