Amble

Amble is located on the Northeastern Coast of England, about 30 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne, and 8 miles south of Alnwick Northumberland. Amble is often called the friendliest port.
A traditional fishing town with an active fishing fleet that lands its catch daily.
To the North of Amble lies Warkworth Castle while to the South you can walk along beaches towards Hauxley and its nature reserve. Coquet Island situated a mile off Amble is a bird sanctuary and lighthouse.

Amble is a bussling fishing village with a large marina, which is host to around 250 boats and yatchs. Boat building has been a traditional feature of the town, and it continues to this day.

An RSPB nature reserve is located on Coquet Island, about a mile offshore, in the summer regular boat trips give bird watchers a golden view of puffins, and eider ducks.

For the young at heart, the coastline is covered with rock pools, and sandy beaches stretching for miles towards Cresswell.
